Kantu Lentz

     Kantú Lentz is a Peruvian filmmaker who is inclined to creating love stories that take place in alternate realities with magic realism elements. Her short STRUCK BY HER premiered at the 44th Annual USA Film Festival in Dallas, TX. In 2014 Kantú was part of the AFI Directing Workshop for Women. During this time she directed the short "Up Here” which takes place in a world where people float when they fall in love. In 2015 Kantú directed the comedy video, “Rollercoaster Break-up” which went viral and got several write ups. In 2016 Kantú worked as the writers assistant on the NETFLIX original show “INGOBERNABLE” She also served as a writer on set. Her short “Moses Storm’s Perfect Journey” premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival as part of the TUMI 19 degree collection. In 2017 Kantú directed a New Balance branded content campaign for Refinery29 featuring olympian Brenda Martinez and actress Emma Roberts.

Currently she is working on a secret project with actress Anna Akana and a ad campaign for One Vote at a Time, which creates in kind campaign videos for candidates who believe in gun safety legislation.

Kantu, is developing her first feature which will be shot in Perú.
